International Participants typically require a visa to enter China. We recommend submitting your application to the appropriate authorities as early as possible to ensure your travel plans are not delayed. Please consult your local Chinese Embassy, Consulate, or the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) for the latest visa requirements and application procedures.
In general, a Tourist Visa (L Visa) is sufficient for attending the conference. A letter of invitation from the conference organizer is not required for a Tourist Visa application. However, if a Business Visa (M Visa) is mandatory, you will need an official invitation letter.
For your reference, we list the required documents for the L Visa below. Please check with the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in your region for the complete requirements.

Passport: Original signed passport with at least six months of remaining validity and visa pages; a copy of the passport’s data page, and of the photo page if it is separate.

Visa Application Form: Photo. A completed Visa Application Form with a recent color photograph attached. Photos must be printed on glossy photo paper and meet official Chinese requirements.

Travel Itinerary documents: including a round-trip flight booking record and a confirmed hotel reservation.

Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa for transit through Hong Kong. Please check the entry requirements on the Hong Kong Immigration Department official website.

Dear Industry Friends,
On behalf of myself, Stephano Marcia, and the GRIBOI leadership team, it is my pleasure to extend an invitation to participate in and support the upcoming 2025 GRIBOI Annual Symposium, to be held from April 10th to 13th in Banff, Alberta, Canada, at the stunning Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Our symposium will gather the brightest minds and the latest innovations in biomaterials, image-guided interventions, and therapeutic applications, as we continue to advance the mission of GRIBOI in enhancing interventional radiology, interventional pain management and minimally invasive surgery.
